Slavingitus: A Degenerative Disease That Causes Blacks To Show Signs of a Slave Mentality by Alberta Parish

Slavingitus, a degenerative mental disorder commonly affecting only Black Americans, is also an airborne disease that causes only Black Americans to have an acute slave mentality. This disease, although affecting Black Americans all across the United States, has a thousand more cases among blacks that live in the Southeastern part of the United States. However, the highest number of new cases of Slavingitus is among Black Americans who live in the state of Georgia. There is neither city nor town in Georgia where you will never run across someone of Black American descent who has not been affected by this disease.

There’s also been discovered in America a third leading disease killing Black Americans also known as Blackophobia, which is a paralyzing fear that some black people have of other blacks succeeding. These people typically don’t want to see another black person have a bigger home than theirs. They don’t want you to get that promotion on the job before they do. They don’t want another black person to have, own, or operate a business that prospers more than theirs, and sometimes they’ll go as far as to sabotage that person’s business without a justifiable cause. If they see you driving a new car, they become green with envy and began questioning you about the reasons why you bought your new car, and how much money you paid for it, and then they’ll probably tell you that they plan on buying a new car next year. Just listen to the tone of their voices. You can literally hear the jealousy and envy spewing from their lips.

Worse than being affected with Agginitus or Blackophobia is being affected with Slavingitus, because this disease once contracted is not only irreversible but it is also the single most devastating disease that a black person could ever have. Because Slavingitus is a disease of the mind, it would take a highly skilled professional to completely rewire this person’s mindset, which causes them to have a house/field Negro slave mentality. Most people that have Slavingitus unfortunately work in positions of authority that is more commonly a position that can directly affect your life and/or lifestyle. What I mean by this is this person may be your supervisor, your black parole officer, the black lady at the unemployment office that doesn’t want to give you unemployment insurance, the black lady at the Family and Children’s Welfare Services’ office, the black prison guard, etc.

What is a house/field Negro slave mentality? The house Negro believed that he or she faired better than the field Negro, because they lived in the house with their oppressors and were generally treated a little better by their oppressors if they complied with the rules and regulations of the oppressor. The house Negro didn’t have to work the fields like the field Negroes did. And whenever the master told a house Negro to punish a field Negro, they readily complied even if the field Negro ended up dying from the severe punishment inflicted upon him. And don’t think that female field Negroes wasn’t restricted from punishment by the house Negro. Many of them were. What we see happening today in Black America is the same type of slave mentality (which began from institutionalized slavery) where you got blacks whether they’re in positions of authority or not that expect you to be a Yes person all the time, and they expect you to not have an opinion about anything and they expect you to comply with everything they say do (outside of company guidelines, that is), and when you don’t you’re labeled as a troublemaker. You’re labeled as someone who is a hothead, or someone who is a ‘difficult’ person. The slave mentality wants you to bend over backwards. The slave mentality wonders why you don’t work on a job from sun up to sun down. Never mind the fact that you may have a child to attend to, or a life outside of your job. Never mind that you may even have a side business that earns you extra income so you won’t have to work 13 hours a day. The slave mentality doesn’t care about this. The slave mentality will deny you food stamps or unemployment insurance without really having a justifiable cause. According to the guidelines, you felt like you should’ve been approved and that’s probably because you should have. You just got unlucky with a person that has Slavingitus, which was working your case.

In conclusion, Slavingitus is a disease that has continuously perpetuated black-on-black crime as well as black-on-black hatred. And I feel that the cure for this disease (on a collective level) is nowhere in sight. However, individually, people have choices. You can choose to commit murder or choose not to. You can choose to rob people, or choose not to. You can choose to forgive or choose not to.
