Could someone please tell me, based on experience, what is the most effective way to market and promote poetry? Just the top 2 to 3 most important things.

Greetings Usiku,

You could start with your local college. Ask any of the English/Literature professors. I bet you they could tell you if they have any of the programs/classes where the students read their poetry, like the "Storytellers", to each others for class credit. Also, they may know of clubs where poetry writers gather and read their stuff to each other and an impartial listening audience. My sister had an invite to read some of her poetry to the Detroit Yacht Club once when she was heavy into her poetry.
