Gifts that Matter: Promoting Children's Literacy and Investing in a Worthy Cause

o.k., we always hear the negative news all the time about the bad things that are happening to youth in Baltimore and the bad things that some of them are doing. We hardly ever hear about the positive things that are going on. And it might even seem to some that nothing good is going on at all in Baltimore. Well, there is some good in Baltimore. As a matter of fact, I would argue more good things are happening in Baltimore than bad. Unfortunately, the news seem to only dwell on the negative.

Here is some good news: Two youth organizations in Baltimore are providing positive programming for youth and are hosting a winter fundraiser selling personalized children's books.

The Barclay Recreation Center/ http://barclayrecreationcenter.blogspot.com and the Children's Ministry of Restoring Life International Church/http://rlicpersonalizedchildrensbooks.blogspot.com are selling personalized children's books to raise funds to support their programs. Both organizations have long histories in our community and service hundreds of children every year.

This holiday season consider giving the gift of literacy to a child in your life and help a youth organization fulfill its mission. Purchase a personalized children's book and help two dynamic organizations sustain their youth outreach programs! For more details, visit http://rlicpersonalizedchildrensbooks.blogspot.com and http://barclayrecreationcenter.blogspot.com!
