Black Author Showcase™ FAQ’s

1) How do I accept friend requests?
At the top left of every Member's page there is an icon that looks like a head and shoulders (next to the email icon). Click that and it will expand the page down. From there you can manage your friends. To accept friend requests click on the "Received" link and accept and deny from the list.

2) How do I check my email?
At the top left of every Member's page there is an email (envelope) icon. Click that and it will expand the page down. From there you can send invites, import your address book, and send messages to anyone on the network.

3) How do I change my profile pic?
At the top left of every Member's page under your photo and name you will find "Change My Photos and Theme". Click this link and under the "Account" section you will see "Your Photo".

4) How do I update my profile questions answers?
At the top right of every Member's page under the welcome message you will find "My Settings". Click this link and under the "About Me" section you can change your answers.

5) How can I change my privacy settings?

At the top right of every Member's page under the welcome message you will find "My Settings". Click this link and under the "Email" section you can change your settings.

7) How do I customize my page?
One of the easiest ways to customize is to look for the small "edit" button above each section on your page. The main section "Your Black Author Showcase™ text box" is where you can put pictures, images, iframes and anything else you might want. It's like the entryway to your page. Also, on the upper right of your page, under "Hello [Yournamehere]" you will see "My Settings". This also offers several customizable options

7) Is Black Author Showcase™.com only for writers?
No, in fact we encourage anyone who wants to be a part of the community to join. As our introduction says "Anyone that helps bring a book to life."

8) Can I get an amazon link of my work?
If your work is available on Amazon.com, send your ISBN and a link to the product to info@blackauthorshowcase.com and we will generate an iframe, image, or text link per your request along with including you in the Black Author Showcase™ site bookstore.

About

SPAM IS SO NOT COOL!

Please do not greet everyone on the site with large images and announcements of your book or business. Yes, you want to tell the world, but learn the fine art of subtlety. A simple welcome and signature/link is fine. Let them ask you for more.
We have lost numerous members because of the amount of 'friend' mail they instantly receive. This Hurts Everyone.
Spam is unsolicited advertising, whether it is posted as comments on other members' pages or is emailed for marketing purposes.

Please be considerate. Post your advertisement in the proper Articles/Forum or Group. There are free classifieds on the Pages tab. You can post your information on your profile and even update your blog as often as you like.

We are not into censorship, so please don't make us ask you to leave. Be kind and unselfish - don't spam.
SPAMMING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED
