Event Description

H is for Hope Books and Mid County FPD Partner for Fundraiser to Support Community Youth and The BackStoppers

“H is for Hope Books” Launches Third Children’s Book with Help From the Mid County Fire District
(Book Titled: Hope Books Presents: What YOU Should Do During An Emergency)

St. Louis, MO (November 20, 2008) - St. Louis based author and entrepreneur, Keith Turner, is at it again. This time Turner has partnered with Ken Corbin and the Mid County Fire Protection District to host a book signing for his third children’s book, a youth outreach event day at the Mid County FPD Station, and a fundraiser for the BackStoppers.

Turner’s third children’s book titled, Hope Books Presents: What YOU Should Do During An Emergency, addresses topics like CPR, the Heimlich Maneuver, Fire Safety, Poison Control, and more. Turner’s third book, which was illustrated by nationally renowned illustrator Cbabi, uses the fun Hope characters, bright illustrations, and simple language to teach children ages 4 – 12 about emergency preparedness. Turner will be signing his recently published book at the event on Nov. 29, 2008 from 10am – 2pm.

In addition, the officers of the Mid County Fire Protection District will open up the station for youth to tour the facilities, meet the officers, and check out the fire trucks. There will also be give-aways, free refreshments, a nutritionist, poets, fitness professionals, and plenty of fun activities for the kids!

Note: All donations received and a portion of all books and t-shirts sold at the event will be donated to The BackStoppers.

*There will be fun, free refreshments, and give-aways! Be sure to bring your children to this fun event!

Hope Books Presents: What YOU Should Do During An Emergency (ISBN# 9780979437731) is available for purchase at www.HisforHopeBooks.com, www.Amazon.com, Borders Stores, Ujamaa Maktaba, Barnes & Noble.
